Had visitor at school - Mary's cousin.

Drove north afterwards......delightful night.

Thursday, April 5, 1917:

Feeling tired.
Nothing unusual at school. Went to bed early after talking to Mildred.

O I am so tired of this work.
No peace at all.
Went to teachers meeting & Paul had to wait till nearly 10 o'clock.
Felt tired & cried.

Sent Paul a card.

Feel awfully tired.
Fairly good day at school.

Tuesday, April 10, 1917:
Hard day at school. Started program. Mildred called.
Paul called late & said "tomorrow".
O how I want him - no one knows.

Wednesday, April 11, 1917:
Good day at school & looking forward to seeing Paul. Late coming down.
Mother at Church with Miss Gladhart. Paul would not talk much & I asked him about it but he did not seem to want to talk much. Sat & cried after he went. O - Paul, if you only knew how much you are worrying me.

Thursday, April 12, 1917:
Fine day but blue for me worrying about Paul. O - I want him so badly. Saw him in field at noon today.
Mr Riegel & agriculturist at school. Teachers meeting tonight. There till 10 pm.
Worried sick over my school - I wish Paul would say what he wants me to do.
